TEAMWORK
Your leadership team has come together, both Officers and Chair-People, to deliver on our promises. Together we need to stay focused and motivated to do our best to achieve our goals.
Leadership is not about glorious crowning acts, but about laying the groundwork for others’ success. I hope to stand back and let my team shine. Our club needs some new vitality, and I believe this team will be the catalyst for change.
September’s welcome-back meeting was a success. Over 40 people attended the “Kickoff,” including some new members! Get the word out to your friends, and to former members to join us at our next event. October will be fun, informative, and very busy. We have two events planned.
Our monthly meeting on October 12, 2023 will bring some fun and education to our group. Juliet Rogers from the Carteret Partnership for Children will be our guest speaker. Don’t forget your donations of individually packaged snack items for the children. Then we have Bunko, our big fundraiser on October 15, 2023, at the Maritime Museum. Karen Hardesty has stepped up to chair this event with fellow Beau Coasters. Fun and prizes are pledged! If you have an article to donate, please contact Robyn Eiler. Of course, our monetary donations will benefit the Arts and other charities.
The Lion’s Club has asked us to join them on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Gallants Channel for clean-up at 9:00 A.M. Contact Dot Crumley for more details.
