Last month, I was worried about all details falling into place for Casino Night. While I am lucky to have a wonderful team, I worried we would not make our first goal of $8K. In the process of my dreams, I knew my team was seeking validation and admiration. I tossed and turned and finally realized that anything I have set out to do, has come out well. Applying my dreams to our personal and professional growth, I encouraged my teams' efforts, asking “What else do you need from me?” “How can I help you?” “When are you meeting?” “Do you need me to be there?” Sometimes holding space for others to succeed is the best thing you can do.
I heard things like “donations are coming in well.” “The donors are so generous!” “We are working hard.” “This is the first time some of us have ever worked on a project of this size and scope.” Each time I checked in, I realized that we were prospering. I kept asking, what else do you need from me?
It came down to praying for my “dream to come true.” Whether it is believing in something so much, that it does come true, or the “answer to our prayers.” We were so successful at acquiring $20k for the Beaufort Boys and Girls Club. I am proud of each one of you who participated in some way!
